Bride and groom just marries at Caribbean wedding

“We simply can’t abandon ship every time we encounter a storm in our marriage.
Real love is about weathering the storms of life together.” – Seth Adam Smith

Where to start? Joanne was a bridesmaid at a wedding I shot for her cousin Gem back in 2014 and she got in touch two years later to ask whether I’d consider shooting her wedding at St. James’s Club and Villas, Antigua. I replied approximately 3 seconds later. I’m lucky in that my job is also something I love, and when I have to ‘travel for work’, it’s always to somewhere beautiful to spend time with happy people. Hashtag winning. Antigua was no different, suddenly the 40th guest and an honorary member of two great families in an all-inclusive tropical paradise. We partied at sunset, relaxed by the pool, swam in the sea, ate great food, worked our way through the daiquiris and got confined to our rooms for 12 hours as Irma, the strongest Category 5 hurricane ever to hit the island, got a bit blowy. The resulting mess meant the wedding got moved back a day, to Alex’s birthday, and all went perfectly. Felix, quite possibly the best Minister in the Caribbean, officiated, an EPIC downpour marked the end of the ceremony and the storm surge from ANOTHER hurricane made for some hilarious moving of tables and chairs further up the beach. An unforgettable wedding with beautiful people.
You know when your flight gets delayed two days and that’s a good thing? That.

Thank you Joanne and Alex for trusting your wedding photography to me. XXX

What a lovely set of images. Great storytelling. Great idea to take your own photographer.

    • Now this look like fun to capture. Love the shot of the guy diving!

  • Obviously beautiful work but as a photographer the thing I notice most are your compositions. Absolutely spot on paul, makes all the difference.

Action packed. beautifully shot. tone perfect editing. Flawless.

Absolutely nothing which needs to be refined, it's probably some of the finest destination wedding photography to come out of northamptonshire.

    you should be very proud
