GEMMA & JOSS

“I would rather spend one lifetime with you than face all of the ages of the world alone.”
– Arwen Undómiel

Gemma & Joss’s winter wedding at Notley Abbey was my last of 2016, and what a way to finish the year! A rare, clean and bright UK winter’s day played host to one of the most thoughtful weddings I’ve ever documented. Designers Gemma and Joss, put so much of themselves into their wedding, especially their love of books and of their friends and family. The details were beautiful and seemingly endless, and the favours showed just how much consideration had gone into the day. But details aside, it’s people that make weddings, and Joss and Gemma were surrounded by some absolute diamonds, people it was a privilege to spend time with and to document. Altogether, a great sign-off for the year that set us all up for Christmas perfectly.

Buddha said: "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." ...and you're so blatantly present, focussed and aware of your surroundings, and for yourself and your couples I can think of no greater gift. Astonishing my friend, truly remarkable - and it'll only ever improve. What an incredible journey you've taken of self improvement - the supreme consciousness is very proud of you I'm sure. p.s. that bouquet shot...! (swooooooooon)
